Jason Ward is Director – Head of Credit at Toorak Capital Partners. Over his 15+ year career, he has been involved in the underwriting of more than $5 billion in debt and equity transactions across multiple asset classes and types. Prior to joining Toorak, Mr. Ward was Director at Hunt Real Estate Capital, focusing on the origination of multifamily housing, and previously served as the Deputy Chief Underwriter for Hunt. Prior to joining Hunt, he was AVP at Arbor where he was part of the team that developed Arbor Loan Express (“ALEX”), a seamless automated lending platform. Additionally, Mr. Ward was part of the team responsible for building out the Freddie Mac Small Balance Loan (SBL) Program. His responsibilities included the underwriting of both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac debt, as well as supporting the development of new business lines. Before Arbor, Mr. Ward held underwriting and analytical positions at Housing Development Fund, UBS, and Related Capital/Charter Mac.

Mr. Ward holds a BBA in Finance from Hofstra University, and a M.S. in Real Estate Finance from New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate.
